Rolling Stock and Locomotives
Railcar 18 – original diesel railcar of the County Donegal Railway which entered service with the County Donegal Railway in 1940. Badly damaged by a fire on 7 November 1949, it had to be rebuilt and as a result observers noted that it lost much of its character. Restored to its original shape and features with a rebuild in 1996 by the N.W.I.R.S. (North West of Ireland Railway Society). It is one of only six original County Donegal Railcars still in existence. On loan by kind arrangement of the N.W.I.R.S.

Carriage – new for season 2007, originally in service at Lord O’Neill’s Shane’s Castle Railway, this recently restored carriage is now resplendent in the red and cream livery of the County Donegal Railway. The carriage offers excellent accommodation with disabled friendly access and PA system.
Simplex 102T locomotive – used in conunction with Railcar 18 for all passenger services.

It has just recently returned to service (July 07) following a major overhaul and refurbishment at the works of Alan Keef Ltd., Ross-on-Wye, England. More details of its return at http://www.antraen.com/news.php
